Meezan Bank’s Badaami Bagh Branch, Lahore has recently held an Islamic banking awareness seminar for its customers and potential clients. Mufti Uzair Ashraf Usmani from Meezan Bank’s PDSC Department and Mr. Ali Ashraf Usmani from Shariah Audit Team addressed the audience in order to equip them with the necessary Islamic banking details. The audience was presented with various materials related to Islamic finance while the key differences between conventional and Islamic banking were also highlighted. The skilled team of Shariah Department presented the audience with the basic knowledge regarding Islamic banking and described the benefits and opportunities available in Islamic banking products.
Business community, branch customers as well as general public were given the opportunity to discuss and understand the issues and benefits of Islamic banking. They were also given a chance to interact directly with seasoned Islamic banking experts from Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank. The seminar was attended by a number of well-known personalities of the area including premium customers of the branch.
The event was widely appreciated by customers who also suggested that this practice be continued in future in order to improve public’s knowledge regarding Islamic Banking.
