Discontinuation of Free Takaful Services

This is a formal notification of discontinuation of “Free/complimentary Takaful on Accidental Death, Permanent Disability and ATM Cash Withdrawal” services after February 28, 2021.

This service was previously being offered complimentary/free of charge to eligible Meezan Bank customers and is now being withdrawn w.e.f. March 01, 2021.

List of discontinued complimentary services:

  • Accidental Death and Permanent Disability Takaful
  • ATM Cash Withdrawal Takaful

Please note that Takaful claims will not be entertained by Meezan Bank for any incident occurring after February 28, 2021.

  • For incidents related to ATM Cash Withdrawal occurring on or before February 28, 2021 – Customers shall intimate Meezan Bank within 24 hours of the incident and shall register an FIR with police within 48 hours of the incident.
  • For incidents related to Accidental Death & Permanent Disability occurring on or before February 28, 2021 – Customers shall intimate Meezan Bank within a period of 90 days of the date of loss.
