Meezan Bank Awarded as ‘Best Islamic Bank’ at first Pakistan Banking Awards

Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank, has been awarded as ‘The Best Islamic Bank’ at first Pakistan Banking Awards, an initiative launched by State Bank of Pakistan, Institute of Bankers Pakistan and Dawn – Pakistan’s oldest English language newspaper  in collaboration with A.F. Ferguson – a leading assurance and business advisory firm of the country.

Pakistan Banking Awards are a first of its kind awards programme in Pakistan’s banking and finance sector, dedicated to honouring Pakistani banks for excellence in various areas. The awards were presented in eight categories, in which six leading banks of the country emerged as top performers based on their commitment to quality and for driving growth.

Meezan Bank has been recognized for demonstrating the most significant contribution and progress in extending and expanding its Islamic banking franchise and for raising Islamic banking public awareness. The Award celebrates the Bank’s achievements for developing the Islamic banking sector and for inspiring a new generation of bankers towards shaping the future of Islamic banking in Pakistan.
