Meezan Bank conducts a workshop on Islamic banking for Journalists

Meezan Bank, the largest and leading Islamic bank of Pakistan, conducted a workshop on Islamic banking for journalists of various leading Business and Finance periodicals.

Held at Meezan House, the head office of Meezan Bank, the workshop was part of the Bank’s strategy towards spreading knowledge and developing an understanding of Islamic banking and finance in Pakistan.

Mr. Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Head of Product Development and Shariah Compliance at Meezan Bank conducted the workshop that covered the concepts and principles of Islamic banking and addressed numerous queries put forward by the media representatives. The participants included representatives from Financial Daily, Express Rozana, Bloomberg, Daily Times, Daily Jehan Pakistan, Pakistan Today and Abb Takk.

Mr. Farhan Usmani, Unit Head of Islamic Financial Advisory, said that the media plays a critical role in spreading the message of Islamic banking to the masses and this workshop will enable the media representatives to develop a more informed view about Islamic banking.
