Meezan Bank facilitates Hajj pilgrims through state-of-the-art Hajj booth at Haji Camp

In order to facilitate the pilgrims of Hajj, Meezan Bank – Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank, recently opened its first Hajj Booth at Haji Camp, Karachi. Dr. Muhammad Imran Ashraf Usmani, Shariah Advisor & Group Head Product Development and Shariah Compliance at Meezan Bank honored this ceremony by inaugurating this booth.

Meezan  Bank’s Hajj booth has a capacity of serving over 70 pilgrims at a time. The Bank is also operating Hajj Booths in 09 other cities of the country. This year Meezan Bank would be facilitating 4,500 pilgrims under the Government and Private Hajj schemes.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President  & CEO of Meezan Bank – Mr. Irfan Siddiqui, Deputy CEO – Mr. Ariful Islam, Department Heads and members of the team managing Meezan Labbaik, Bank’s Hajj and Umrah product. Mr. Abdul Sattar Samtio, Director Karachi Haji camp, the Chief Guest of the ceremony appreciated the efforts of Meezan Bank.

Also present at the ceremony were other Banks’ Hajj Booth representatives who endorsed that the efforts of Meezan team were commendable. Mrs. Shazia Zuberi Ali, VP – Product Manager Labbaik Hajj & Umrah who was recently acknowledged as the Best Female Islamic Banker by Islamic Finance Awards shared the Mission of Meezan Labbaik’s team i.e. ‘Striving to serve the guests of Allah (SWT) better!’

All the guests received the latest edition of Dr. Imran Usmani’s book ‘Arkan-e-Islam’ which covers the basic pillars of Islam as well as informational material on the spiritual journey of Hajj.
