Meezan Bank’s Ravi Area of Lahore West Region holds an Islamic Banking Awareness Seminar for general public

Meezan Bank, as Pakistan’s premier Islamic bank has placed keen focus on increasing Islamic banking awareness amongst the masses. Through various mediums and seminars, the Bank aims to encourage the masses towards Islamic finance and away from Riba. As part of the same efforts Ravi Area of Lahore West Region recently conducted a seminar on Islamic banking awareness.

Mufti Uzair Ashraf Usmani, Shariah Scholar at Meezan Bank graced the occasion as the Guest Speaker in order to educate the participants regarding the key concepts of Islamic banking, the importance of a Shariah-compliant banking system and the differences between conventional banking and Islamic banking. The seminar was attended by Area Manager Ravi Area Mr. Atif Sheikh, Officiating Regional Manager Lahore West Mr. Abid Hussain Malik, around 100 participants comprising of businessmen and general public.

The seminar served as an informative and interactive platform for the young learners who showed keen interest in this growing industry. A detailed discussion followed by a Q&A session further helped to improve the knowledge of the participants regarding Islamic banking products and procedures.
